Grease (Solid Lubricant) Production Line and Factory Setup

A grease (solid lubricant) production line is a complete industrial system designed to produce high-quality grease (solid lubricant) under controlled process conditions. The line is engineered for consistent product quality, operational reliability and compliance with industrial standards.

The Industrial Department supports investors who want to establish a new grease (solid lubricant) factory as well as existing plant owners who need repair, overhaul, capacity expansion or automation of their current lines. Projects can start from an empty site or from an operating facility that requires technical upgrading.

Whether the goal is a green-field turnkey plant in Iraq, Kurdistan Region, Afghanistan or other regional markets, or the modernization of an existing line in Iran, engineering, machinery supply or manufacturing, installation, commissioning and ongoing technical support can be provided under defined contractual scopes.

Production Line Overview

The grease (solid lubricant) production line is engineered as an integrated process system. Design capacity is determined during the engineering phase and can typically range according to market requirements.

Main process flow: Base oil preparation → Thickener addition → Cooking and chemical reaction → Cooling and homogenization → Additive addition → Packaging

Main machinery: Base oil storage tanks with heating, cooking reactor 180-220°C, homogenizer, colloid mill, filling machine

Required area 500-1000 m². Power 50-150 kW. Steam 200-500 kg/h. Water 5-15 m³/day. Manpower 5-12 per shift. Capacity 1-10 tons/day.

Technical Specifications

The following technical data represent typical ranges. Final values are defined during engineering.

Specification Description

All figures are indicative. Detailed utility balances, equipment lists and layout drawings are prepared after process definition and capacity confirmation.

Products

An industrial grease (solid lubricant) production line can manufacture a variety of finished products depending on the selected formulation and process technology.

Raw Materials for Grease (Solid Lubricant) Factory

Raw material selection and quality control are critical. Main materials: Base oil, soap thickener (lithium, calcium, aluminum), performance additives, colorants, packaging materials

Sahi Rasa Supply Chain Department

Raw-material supply chain support can be examined for industrial projects located in Iran, Iraq, the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (including Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Duhok), Baghdad, Basra, Mosul, Afghanistan (Kabul, Herat, Mazar-e-Sharif), Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Syria, Oman, Jordan, Turkey, Armenia and Georgia.

Manufacturing Process

The process starts with preparation of base oil in heated storage tanks. Soap thickener (lithium, calcium or aluminum) is added. The mixture enters the cooking reactor where chemical reaction takes place at 180-220°C under continuous agitation. After the reaction is complete, the grease is cooled and passed through a homogenizer and colloid mill to achieve the required consistency. Performance additives (anti-oxidation, anti-rust, extreme pressure) are then incorporated. Finally the grease is filled into cans or drums.

  1. Process steps follow the sequence: Base oil preparation → Thickener addition → Cooking and chemical reaction → Cooling and homogenization → Additive addition → Packaging

Machinery & Equipment

Each main machine performs a specific function. Support is available for design, manufacturing or procurement, customization, installation, commissioning, repair, overhaul, refurbishment, automation and spare-parts supply according to the agreed project scope.

Main equipment includes: Base oil storage tanks with heating, cooking reactor 180-220°C, homogenizer, colloid mill, filling machine. For every machine the following aspects are covered: Function, Working Principle, Position in line, Importance, Product Quality Impact, Maintenance needs, and Sahi Rasa Support (Design, Manufacturing, Procurement, Installation, Commissioning, Repair, Overhaul, Refurbishment, Automation, Spare Parts).

Factory Layout & Building Requirements

Typical functional areas include raw-material receiving and storage, main process areas, packaging, quality-control laboratory, utility rooms, maintenance workshop, staff facilities, loading docks and administrative offices. Layout must respect process flow and safety zoning. Exact area allocation is determined during the engineering phase.

Utilities

Required area 500-1000 m². Power 50-150 kW. Steam 200-500 kg/h. Water 5-15 m³/day. Manpower 5-12 per shift. Capacity 1-10 tons/day.

Turnkey Factory Setup

An investor can start from an empty site. Depending on contractual scope, the project can be accompanied through: Idea → Feasibility → Engineering → Factory Design → Machinery → Procurement → Manufacturing → Installation → Commissioning → Training → Raw Material Supply → Packaging → Trial Production → Commercial Production.

EPC & PMC

Projects can be executed under EPC or PMC approaches. Engineering, machinery supply or manufacturing, installation supervision and commissioning are coordinated within the defined contract boundaries.

Machinery Repair

Existing factories can request inspection, troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical repair, component replacement, spare-parts supply and line maintenance support.

Machinery Overhaul & Refurbishment

Older equipment can be evaluated for comprehensive overhaul, replacement of worn parts, control-system upgrades, improved reliability and modest capacity or quality improvements where technically feasible.

Capacity Expansion

Capacity of an existing line can often be increased by addressing bottlenecks, upgrading key machines, optimizing layout or introducing selective automation.

Industrial Automation

Typical applications include PLC sequence control, temperature/pressure/flow loops, automatic dosing, HMI, data logging and optional SCADA integration.

Supply Chain

Factory = Machinery + Raw Materials + Utilities + People + Process + Supply Chain + Market. The Supply Chain Department supports supplier sourcing, procurement, logistics and ongoing material supply.

Packaging

Filling, sealing, labeling, coding, cartoning and palletizing are integrated according to product format and market requirements.
